West Sussex Music Celebrates 5 Years of Going Solo

Friends and partners of West Sussex Music gathered at The College of Richard Collyer last week for our Annual Hub Partners Meeting. An evening of music and celebration was enjoyed by all, as part of an event which saw us reflecting, not just on the many high-quality musical opportunities offered to children and young people over the last twelve months, but also on five years of being an independent charitable company.

“Five years ago, West Sussex County Council took the bold step to embark on a project aimed at creating an independent, charitable organisation to continue the delivery of music education to the schools and children of West Sussex.” Explains James Underwood, Chief Executive, West Sussex Music. “Suffice to say, the initiative has been a great success and I am hugely proud of where we are today. We have continued to nurture, inspire and enrich the lives of children through the transformational power of music as well as expanding our range of specialist support for schools. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all those who have helped and supported us along the way.”
