 Worthing and Shoreham Music Centres - November Updates 2013

 

Dear Parents/Carers, 

Teachers Leaving – At the end of this term we will be saying goodbye to Angela Greene and Andre Da Silva. Andre and his family are returning to Brazil after Christmas so the choir are in the Christmas concert, but we are also celebrating his work with us on Friday 22^nd November. The choir will rehearse at 7pm, and parents are invited in from 7.30 until 8pm. Anne Romer will accompany both these sessions for her final time.

Angela Greene has been working with our youngest pupils in the Music Centre for 11 years, which we will celebrate with an extra concert on Saturday 14^th December for her four groups at 12.30 in the Sports Hall, donations only. Mrs Gaynor Gallant will be taking over all four groups from January. 

Christmas Concerts - Tickets will be available from the Parent’s Desk, Worthing High School on Fridays and Saturdays from November 22nd. For Shoreham groups, please buy tickets from your conductors. Do buy tickets for the concerts before the day as numbers are limited and make cheques payable to West Sussex Music.They are priced at £5.00/£2.00,if you are attending both concerts, tickets are reduced to £9.00/£3.00.

Arrival time: 1.45pm in the gym

Saturday December 14th 5pm Beginner Woodwind Percussion Ensemble Intermediate Wind Double Reed Ensemble Youth WW Youth Choir Junior Concert Band Intermediate Concert Band Youth Concert Band       Dress: - School uniform or smart black trousers/skirt, white shirts, black tights/socks, black shoes. Arrival time: 4.40pm in the gym

If you child is unable to participate, please let the ensemble leader know now.

Thursday 19^th December  - The Big Band are performing in the Rowland Singer’s Concert at Worthing Assembly Hall at 7.30pm,so are not performing in 14^th December concert. Please return the reply slip asap.
