Education & training

BMus Music Performance – University of Chichester

Skills & experience

Chloe started learning the trumpet at the age of 8 in whole-class tuition through Walsall Music Hub in the West Midlands.  She soon joined as many ensembles at school and the music centre as she could, her favourite being the jazz band.  She took her Grade 8 trumpet and Grade 8 piano during her final year of school.

Chloe has experience of playing in a range of styles and settings, including classical, orchestral, brass band, wind band, marching band, big band, pit bands and smaller Dixieland jazz ensembles.  Chloe was the Principal Cornet of the University of Chichester brass band for two years.  During this time, the band finished second-place in the UniBrass contest, only losing to the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Brass Band, as well as winning prizes such as Best March.  Another highlight of her time at university was playing at St. John’s Smith Square as part of the UK tour of A Christmas Carol: The Concert.  Chloe is currently completing her masters degree in Music Performance at the University of Chichester.

Chloe is eager to share her passion for music and its social, psychological and educational benefits with as many children as possible and she is a strong believer in all children having access to music education.
