Francis Winston is a classically trained composer, arranger, musician (vocalist, saxophonist, clarinettist) and secondary school music teacher with over 25 years of extensive experience in both youth music education and the music industry. Amongst many other endeavours he led a 15-piece Hip Hop-Jazz-Funk band for 10 years which included some very successful artists. Francis says of Rap “The genre has been a long-standing passion of mine, and having been an educator for so long I have seen where the gaps are and what is needed to fill them. My ultimate goal is to see Rap become embraced by the conservatoires, as they did with Jazz”.
