Alana Curtis

Alana is a freelance musician and workshop leader. For the past 12 years, Alana has run drum workshops for children and young people, from infants to adults, in schools, community centres, carnivals, The Southbank Centre and Merton Music Centre. Alana has taught peripatetic drum kit lessons and small and large group sessions for a range of young people including those with SEND. 

Alana is a session drummer and percussionist and has worked and performed with many artists, such as Jazz Jamaica, Tomorrow’s Warrior’s Female Frontline, Meron T and  Intimate Friends. Alana works with Kinetika Bloco, running community drumming workshops, music mentoring on social justice and music and preparing young people for performances.
