West Sussex Youth Choirs

Singing together in harmony
Our choirs offer talented singers opportunities to develop their singing, build the skills needed to sing in a choir, learn beautiful choral music and to have fun along the way.

Led by our musical director, sessions are dynamic and creative offering singers a chance to explore their voices, build their confidence and discover the joy of singing together in harmony.

Meet Mark Bradbury
Director of West Sussex Youth Choirs

Having worked within many top-notch professional choirs and opera choruses, I’ve seen the way in which a choral conductor can make a huge impact for better and for worse. The magic normally seems to come when you get alongside your choir and partner with them in making music. There’s scope for being brave with some of our future repertoire choices we make and post-pandemic I can see the West Sussex Youth Choirs growing again in the coming months”

West Sussex Youth Choir

West Sussex Youth Choir is a mixed-voice choir for experienced singers aged 13yrs to 21yrs. We learn large-scale choral works, with opportunities to perform with an orchestra, as well as lighter and more contemporary repertoire.

An ability to read music isn’t essential and sessions offer a chance for singers to build their skills and confidence with a focus on having fun and being creative. Singers with changing voices are supported during rehearsals as they find their new tenor and bass registers.

Who can join?  Anyone aged 13yrs to 21yrs with a passion for singing.
Sessions in your first term are free, so apply now and try something new!

When does the choir take place? Rehearsals take place on Saturdays, 10:30am – 12:00pm at Horsham Music Centre, c/o Millais School, RH13 5HR

What people are saying

Being a member of the choir has been a brilliant experience, whether it’s going on tour to places like Germany and Belgium, or just getting together to sing with other people. Everyone is so nice and I’ve made so many friends.
