Education & training

Georgia is a violist and violinist from West Sussex, currently studying for a Bachelor of Music in Performance at the University of Chichester. She studies viola with Meg Hamilton and violin with Adam Barker, and also receives training from renowned Baroque violinist Julia Bishop.

Before university, she studied with Emily Marsden and was an active member of Christ’s Hospital’s Chamber and Symphony Orchestras. She is also an alumna of West Sussex Music, having played with the West Sussex Youth Orchestra and String Orchestra. Now working with West Sussex Music as a visiting music teacher, Georgia finds it incredibly rewarding to support the next generation of musicians within the organisation that first inspired her.

Skills & experience

Georgia is a passionate and versatile musician who believes music is not just about performance, but about connection, helping people express something beyond words. This belief underpins her work with West Sussex Music, where she supports and mentors young musicians in their musical development and appreciation. She has enjoyed a wide range of musical experiences, from performing with the University of Chichester Baroque Orchestra alongside Red Priest to recording at Abbey Road Studios. With a strong background in ensemble playing and a love for working with others, Georgia brings enthusiasm, warmth and dedication to both her performing and teaching.
