Sarah is an inspiring, creative and nurturing teacher with a wealth of experience in both primary and secondary education. Her students benefit from a good grounding and foundation in music as well as the opportunity to explore different styles (classical, pop, jazz, improvisation) and develop their own musical voice. In fact many of Sarah’s students have gone on to study music in higher education and progressed towards a professional career.
Sarah’s individual and group lessons focus on what interests, challenges and develops each unique student. These can be focused around different disciplines of music. Singing lessons can be a primary subject but also make an excellent supplementary second study to another instruments helping students develop confidence, creativity, performance, musicality and language and can be great fun too.
Sarah has served on the Teaching Committee for the Musicians Union and is an active member of the Singing Teachers Association.
“As someone who is quite shy about singing, certainly in front of others, I was very grateful for how safe the space to practise singing was with Sarah. She made sense of the technical details of singing remarkably easy to understand and helped me start to develop my singing voice – being a complete beginner, the first lesson I had with her put me on the right path.” RN
