These workshops are not about performance or prior experience – they are about curiosity, creativity and having fun making music together.
KS2 Creative Music Workshop (Years 3–6)
Date: Saturday 14 February 2026
Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
Location: The Mill Primary Academy, Crawley
Cost: FREE
This workshop is specifically for children in Years 3–6 (KS2) who live in Crawley or attend a school in Crawley.
The session is open to children of any musical ability, from complete beginners to those who already play an instrument. Any instrument is welcome, and no previous experience is required.
Led by professional RPO musicians, the workshop will focus on creative music-making, teamwork and having fun, giving young people the opportunity to explore music together in an inspiring and supportive environment.
SEND Creative Music Workshop
Date: Saturday 28 February 2026
Time: 10:00am – 3:30pm
Location: The Mill Primary Academy, Crawley
Cost: FREE
This workshop is open to children and young people under 25 with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), accompanied by a parent or carer.
The session is suitable for:
- Children and young people attending special schools
- Those in mainstream schools or colleges with additional needs
- Home-educated children and young people
Working alongside musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, participants will explore music in a way that is inclusive, flexible and supportive. The day will be carefully structured to allow individuals to engage at their own pace, with appropriate breaks and support throughout.
