Job history – caterer, then a stock broker until I had children then later a county and city councillor
Connection to music – my Father’s family were very musical. My Grandfather was a conductor, my Father played the bassoon and double bassoon in Leicester Philharmonic Orchestra. I learned the piano at school.
Music tastes – more on the pop easy listening
Hobbies – photography, sewing and gardening
Other boards you’re on – two small trusts and I am assistant treasurer for our Rotary Club
Favourite thing about WSM – the ability to be able to bring children together so they can play music. I am always amazed at how high a quality is achieved in so little time. A lot of hard work by everyone. Music is so important to help a child’s brain development and WSM tries so hard to reach all the schools to ensure that children can play an instrument or sing.
