Sizzling summer concerts

Roll up, roll up! Time to get your tickets to see what your children and young people have been working on this term – but be quick, tickets are limited!
There are two performances taking place on Sunday 13 July, at the Worthing Assembly Hall.
The first performance will be the West Sussex Music Junior Ensembles Summer Concert, at 12.30pm-2.30pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity for some of our music centre groups to show what they’ve been working on this term and celebrate this year’s achievements to family and friends.
The concert will feature from our music centres from around the county our young voices choir, junior orchestras, local youth orchestras, training orchestras, and percussion groups.
Later, from 6pm until 8pm, it will be the turn of West Sussex Music’s County Ensembles performing a wide variety of works.
The concert will include performances by West Sussex Youth Orchestra, West Sussex Youth String Orchestra, West Sussex Youth Wind Orchestra and West Sussex Youth Choir. It will also feature the massed forces of this year’s Tomorrow’s Orchestra Programme, made up of over 100 recent beginners from our programmes in Bognor Regis, Chichester, Horsham, Midhurst and Worthing!
John Randall, Music Centres Manager for West Sussex Music, said:
“These concerts mark the pinnacle of the year. They’re a wonderful way for our talented musicians to demonstrate what they’ve been working and celebrate the joy of music-making with others. I’d encourage anyone with a child or young person taking their first steps in learning an instrument to come along and see what we do.”
Come and see some of the county’s finest young musicians perform a wondrous array of great music.
