Free holiday activity spaces

Did you know – we offer FREE funded places on our holiday activities for those in receipt of school meals?  

Covering Bognor Regis, Crawley, Horsham and Worthing, we have a wide selection of exciting workshops lined up for children and young people aged 8-16 year olds. 

There are FREE places for those receiving benefit-related free school meals and all participants get a free meal at lunchtime.

Rap and Lyric Writing – 30 & 31 March, 1 April
Bognor Regis Music Centre @ Phoenix Centre, PO21 5JD 

During the Rap and lyric writing course young people will learn creative writing, rhyming and rhythm You will also record a song as part of a group, collaborate in singing and songwriting, and get the chance to perform to your peers.  

Music Production & DJ – 30 & 31 March 
Crawley Music Centre @ The Mill Primary Academy, RH11 0EL 

During the Music production & DJ workshops attendees will learn the fundamentals of music through DJing, music production and composition. You will use decks and live performance technology, compose music to video, use tempo, pitch, texture, and rhythm and learn how to create your own beats, and compose songs. 

Play In A Band – 30 & 31 March, 1 April
Worthing Music Centre @ Northbrook College, BN12 6NU 

If you have a passion for playing guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano or singing then this workshop is for you! 

Designed for 11–16 yr olds, Play In A Band will suit players who have already started learning the basics in lessons. You’ll form your own rock/pop band, collaborating with other musicians to work on covers or original songs and develop skills in song arrangement, stage presence and live performance techniques. 

The Enchanted Cinema: Interactive Soundtrack – 30 & 31 March, 1 April
Crawley, Horsham & Worthing (see here for locations & dates)

Imagine going to the cinema and becoming part of a pop-up orchestra which creates sound FX and a musical soundtrack. Well, this workshop does just that. Led by a professional musician from The Enchanted Cinema company you’ll use your voice, hands and feet, and then instruments and ingenious Foley sound effects, to create a magical one-of-a-kind soundtrack to on screen works from incomparable Japanese animators, Studio Ghibli. 

All Holiday Activity participants will receive a Digital Badge after completing the workshops. Digital badges are innovative, visual representations of skills, achievements, or certifications earned online.
