Being a member of the choir has been a brilliant experience, whether it’s going on tour to places like Germany and Belgium, or just getting together to sing with other people. Everyone is so nice and I've made so many friends. I would definitely recommend auditioning to anyone." Katie Appleton, member of The West Sussex Youth Choir

Sussex Secondary Schools’ Music Conference

Following the success of last year’s event, we are delighted to announce that the Sussex Secondary Schools’ Music Conference returns in June, supported by the University of Sussex Education and Music Departments.

We are thrilled to welcome Mark De-Lisser as keynote speaker for the Sussex Secondary Schools’ Music Conference on Tuesday 11th June. Seen most recently on the BBC’s 'Our Dementia Choir', Mark is one of the most sought after choral directors, vocal coaches and arrangers in the industry.

Join us for an invigorating and inspiring day of CPD; focusing on the positive impact that a high-quality secondary music education can have on young people. The conference will include a range of practical workshops and talks with experienced music leaders. You will have the opportunity to network with colleagues from other schools and consider how to make everything count in your music classroom and curriculum.
