Rock Academy at Northbrook College

THU 15 DEC 2016

On Wednesday 7th December  a Christmas gig was held at Northbrook College to officially mark the handover of Rock Academy from West Sussex Music to the College.

The Rock Academy is a full band workshop for under-18s, led by West Sussex Music for the past few years, providing a fantastic opportunity to rehearse alongside other young musicians and singers.

Worthing Mayor Sean McDonald was among the guests who enjoyed the showcase of the musical talents of current Rock Academy members.

The event was held in the College’s new state-of-the-art music studios, which were opened last year by electronic music pioneer Wolfgang Flur of Kraftwerk.

Northbrook music tutor Mike Pailthorpe said, ‘We’re delighted to work with West Sussex Music to make Rock Academy an exciting opportunity for school age musicians in the Worthing area. We are looking forward to helping many more singers, drummers and guitarists build up experience at our full band workshops in the New Year.’

Any new students are really welcome and more details are available via their website:
