West Sussex Music is delighted to welcome the return of Orchestras Inc. in Horsham this June, a vibrant and inclusive music group designed especially for children and young people with additional needs.
Orchestras Inc. offers a fun, supportive environment where young people can explore music, try instruments, make friends and build confidence, regardless of previous musical experience. The ensemble is open to children and young people with additional needs, including those attending special schools, mainstream schools or colleges, as well as those who are home educated.
Sessions are designed for young people aged 8 to 25, with parents and carers welcome to attend for support.
The Orchestras Inc. Horsham sessions will take place at Horsham Music Centre, based at Millais School, and promise plenty of creativity, music-making and enjoyment in a relaxed and welcoming setting on the following dates –
- Saturday 6 June
- Saturday 13 June
- Saturday 20 June
- Saturday 27 June
Alison Sutton, Assistant Head of West Sussex Music, and Orchestras Inc. Leader said:
“Orchestras Inc. is such a joyful and uplifting project to be part of. We see children and young people grow in confidence week by week, discovering new skills, expressing themselves through music and simply enjoying making music together. We’re incredibly grateful to our funders for helping us continue to offer these opportunities to families across West Sussex.”
Families interested in joining Orchestras Inc. can find further information and apply for a place online here.
Orchestras Inc. is supported through funding by the Chalk Cliff Trust, Horsham District Council and Worthing Borough Council.
