Nick Hoad

Nick is a composer and musician with three years’ teaching experience and works with individuals and small groups. He believes the most important factor in getting younger students to practise is to give them pieces they want to learn, as opposed to simply going through the same set of books for everyone. Nick recognises that starting a new piece from scratch can be a daunting experience, and so his teaching method involves deconstructing the music into smaller, manageable sections and practising challenging phrases in isolation.
