Discover music!

Young people aged 8-25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are invited to discover the joy of making music together at Orchestras Inc., West Sussex Music’s inclusive music group in Worthing.

Running on five Saturdays from 7 November to 5 December, Orchestras Inc. offers a welcoming space where young people can explore music, build confidence and enjoy being part of a group. No previous musical experience or skills are needed; all equipment is provided. Participants do not need to be able to read music or play an instrument to get involved.

Sessions take place from 10.30am to 11.30am at Bohunt School Worthing, 65a Broadwater Road, Worthing, BN14 8AH. Access is via the A24 entrance.

Orchestras Inc. is open to young people up to 25 yrs old with additional needs, whether they attend a mainstream or special school, are home educated or are not currently in education. Parents and carers are asked to attend and support their young person throughout.

The sessions are about much more than learning music. They give young people the opportunity to try something new, connect with others and experience the fun of creating music together in a supportive environment. Participants who attend at least three sessions can also earn a digital badge to celebrate their achievement.

The sessions are free to attend, and families are encouraged to come along to as many as they can.

Families interested in finding out more or registering their young person can visit www.westsussexmusic.co.uk/orchestras-inc. A video on the website also offers a glimpse of what to expect when arriving for a session.
