Bookings are now open for a range of music workshops giving children and young people the chance to try something new, develop their skills and make music with others.
West Sussex Music is inviting children and young people across the county to get creative this December with a programme of holiday activities offering opportunities to explore music, build confidence and meet new friends.
Taking place in Bognor Regis, Crawley and Worthing from 21–23 December, the workshops cater for a range of interests, from rap and music production to singing and playing in a band.
Whether they want to experiment with writing lyrics and creating beats, discover the joy of singing together or experience the excitement of performing as part of a band, participants can enjoy a fun, supportive environment where creativity takes centre stage.
Elizabeth Leondaritis, Youth Engagement Manager at West Sussex Music, who organises the holiday activities, said:
“Our holiday activities are all about giving young people the chance to get creative, try something new and discover just how much fun making music with others can be. Whether they’re taking their first steps into music or building on skills they already have, we want everyone to feel welcome, grow in confidence and leave with a real sense of achievement.
“The school holidays are a great time to try something different, and our workshops offer a brilliant opportunity to spend time with other young people, learn from experienced music leaders and make some music to be proud of.”
All equipment is provided, and a free lunch is included. Free places are also available for families receiving targeted Free School Meals.
Bookings are now open, and families are encouraged to visit the West Sussex Music website to find out more about the workshops, check eligibility and secure a place.
