THU 26 MAR 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your continued patience, it makes a huge difference to us as we try to find ways to manage the impact of the current coronavirus crisis. We have outlined below the options available to you for the remaining spring term activities and future summer term activities. Please read and ensure that you select an option for the summer term.

Spring Term 2020

We remain committed to delivering the full quota of lessons and have developed an online learning option for our teachers to continue this term’s lessons up to Friday 17 April. Teachers will be contacting parents/carers directly if this is a viable option. Please note that if you have had your full quota of lessons or if your child’s teacher is unable to offer these, then you will not be contacted.

We have extended our spring term teaching weeks up until Friday 17 April in order to give our teachers the maximum chance to fulfil the quota of lessons for each pupil. Once registers have been returned, they will be checked for any lessons not offered. Lessons not offered will be credited and may be used towards future lessons. Please note that credits will not be given for spring term music centre membership or instrument hire.

Please do not cancel any direct debits as the April payment is your final contribution towards spring term tuition.

Summer Term 2020

During the current coronavirus situation, we are offering parents/carers the opportunity to pause activities from the start of the summer term, 20th April, until further notice. This means that pupils will be able to resume their activities as soon as schools and music centres re-open.

Please note that:

  • if you pay termly, any monies already paid for the summer term lessons and music centre activities will be credited for future sessions.
  • if you pay by monthly Direct Debt, we will not collect any Direct Debit payments for tuition or music centre membership from 1 May 2020 until further notice - charges for instrument hire continue to apply.

Please select one of the options below to inform us of your choice:

  • If you would like to pause activities on your account please complete the pause activities form here
  • If you would like to cancel activities with no intention of returning to them, please complete our cancellation form here.

We encourage you to stay engaged with our social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter,

so that we can remain connected at this time and share inspirational posts to keep our young musicians engaged in their musical learning and motivated to continue until activities resume.

Our thoughts remain with everyone who is being affected by this situation and we pass on our very best wishes to all of you and your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you and your children back to a Music Centre, event or music lesson in the near future.

Best wishes,

West Sussex Music
