THU 21 JUN 2018
West Sussex Music are delighted that three secondary schools in the county have recently been awarded an ISM Silver Certificate for their success in GCSE Music in 2017. This award is made to schools that had over 15% of all their KS4 pupils achieving an A*-C pass in GCSE Music in August 2017.
We would like to congratulate the music departments of St. Paul's Catholic College in Burgess Hill, The Forest School in Horsham and Thomas Bennett Community College in Crawley for this very impressive achievement. This year, only 129 schools in England received a Silver Certificate, with a further 58 awarded Gold. These annual certificates – awarded by the ISM and supported by the ISM’s sister charity ISM Trust, recognise not only the high level of uptake and attainment in GCSE music in secondary schools but the level of commitment that is shown to music as a subject in their school.
Well done to the music teachers and music students at St. Paul's, Forest and Thomas Bennett!
