LPO Junior Artists 2018/19 – applications opening soon and Open Event invitation

Aged 15-18 and play an orchestral instrument to Grade 7 and above?

The LPO are looking for a new cohort of talented, passionate young musicians to join our 2018-19 LPO Junior Artists programme. Applicants will need to be aged 15 – 18 on 1 September 2018, play an orchestral instrument at a minimum standard of Grade 7 and be from a background currently under-represented in professional UK orchestras.  Do have a look at the website to find out more about the programme: www.lpo.org.uk/juniorartists   

 

Open Event – Friday 27 April, 5-7pm

Young musicians, parents and teachers are warmly invited to attend our Open Event on Friday 27 April, 5-7pm, at the Royal Festival Hall. This will be an opportunity to meet LPO Education staff, former LPO Junior Artists and LPO musicians, to find out more about the programme and ask any questions informally.  Attendees will also be able to watch the current cohort of Junior Artists perform alongside LPO musicians and members of our Foyle Future Firsts programme in the Royal Festival Hall.  Places are free but limited, and need to be reserved by emailing Emily from our Education team on juniorartists@lpo.org.uk.
