An ensemble programme for intermediate level players
Our Training Orchestras offer young musicians a fun and supportive environment to develop their skills, make music, and build friendships.
Aimed at those at Grade 2-4, the training orchestras comprise of the following groups –

Horsham Training Winds

Horsham Training Strings

Chichester Youth Orchestra

Worthing Youth Orchestra
At Horsham there are two training orchestras – Training Strings and Training Winds, which rehearse weekly at Horsham Music Centre.
In Chichester, the Chichester Youth Orchestra rehearses weekly at Chichester Music Centre.
The Worthing Youth Orchestra also rehearses weekly, at Worthing Music Centre.
All four groups perform at the end of every term at concert venues across West Sussex
These groups are ideal for learners of orchestral instruments working at junior to intermediate standard – Grade 2 to Grade 4.
Led by experienced specialist tutors, sessions include varied and exciting repertoire that’s carefully chosen to match the group’s ability and inspire confidence.
There are approximately 10 sessions per term, with a public concert celebrating what’s been learned at the end of each term.
