A graduate of the prestigious BIMM Institute, Charlie’s journey in music began when he first picked up a guitar at the age of 13. From that moment on, he was hooked, finding himself immersed in the world of writing, performing, and sharing his love for music with others.
Charlie is a guitar tutor at West Sussex Music. With over 13 years of experience, Charlie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for music education to his role.
Throughout his career, Charlie has been deeply involved in the music scene, having been a part of several bands, including the acclaimed Mile High City. In 2017, Mile High City released an album that garnered attention from various radio stations, including the BBC.
Over the years, he has had the privilege of teaching countless students, some of whom have gone on to perform regularly and even form their own successful bands.
Charlie was my guitar teacher from the ages of 15 to 17 and in that time I learnt so much. His knowledge and passion really is unmatched. He then went on to teach me the bass guitar so I could join the band he was forming and we had a great few years playing together. I’m playing in a band of my own now and have been lucky enough to release albums and play on tours and some big festivals already, and it all stemmed from Charlie’s teaching all those years ago which I’m extremely grateful for. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to progress further, Charlie is definitely your man!

Charlie has been teaching my 10 year old daughter for a few months now. She was a complete novice and a little nervous but Charlie has been so patient and encouraging. She has learnt so much already due to the fact that Charlie makes sure she completely understands something before moving on and making it fun. She really looks forward to her lessons every week. Couldn’t recommend Charlie more.
